TAL R – Weather Report

February 3, 2024 – May 26, 2024

Tal R’s art is expressionistic and intuitive, playful and bold with colors, shapes, figurations, and abstractions. Tal R is primarily known for his colorful and immediate painting, but freely works across a variety of techniques; drawing, collage, printmaking, sculpture, and installation. His art incorporates postmodern language fragments and art historical references while being consistently contemporary. The art bears traces of his background, a hybrid of Danish and Jewish influences. Words and symbols are central, forming a kind of graffiti aesthetic. Tal R rebelliously breaks rules and portrays psychological spaces.

The exhibition “Weather Report” is about inner experiences concerning nature and climate. About the abstract reality of nature. It includes a range of dynamic works in various techniques. The works feature a strong color palette and dazzling silver, but also profound darkness, and blackness. A spirited nature that cannot be controlled by human logic. Tal R portrays his inner depictions of nature, inviting us to see and reflect on our own.
